Bringing My Love to Life at Kindred Magic Gathering

Sovereignty, Grace & the Power to Bring Your Love to Life. Six months ago, I chose this as the title for a workshop I was invited to give at client/friend Annie Cattabriga-Alosa's first Womxn’s Campout Retreat @kindredmagicgathering.

The work I do is primarily 1:1, and I have been exploring how to create a mind-blowing, transformational experience in a group setting.  I took a risk and took it on fully for this retreat.

We ALL are powerful beings. Sometimes, we know it and feel it, profoundly. Other times, we doubt it and lose it, profoundly. Who knows and can feel that there is even more of you — of your unique love — to bring to the world?  And who knows that at times you choose to withhold your love from yourself and others? These are extreme contrasts -- our shadow and our light. Whenever we feel unfulfilled, challenged or struggle in our lives, we have (unknowingly) given away our SOVEREIGNTY and chosen dependence, instead. We have (unknowingly) fallen from GRACE and chosen opposition, instead. And we have (unknowingly) denied ourselves and others LOVE, and chosen separation, instead.

For this workshop, I developed an exercise using a series of two-sided cards, that allow each of us to experience our own self-defeating path of dependence, opposition and separation, AND then experience how our specific struggles are actually showing us EXACTLY how to manifest what we desire … the way a “shadow” gives form to “the light.” The shadow and the light are literally opposite sides of the same card, and we can use the shadow sides to show us exactly how we can reclaim our SOVEREIGNTY, return to a state of GRACE, and bring our LOVE to life, instead.
