You Don’t Have to Take Off Your Creative Hat

One of the things I always say to clients is: “You don’t have to take off your creative hat to put on your business hat. Your creative hat can be your business hat. Why take it off when you love wearing it so much more?!” Of course, one of the realizations I’ve had recently is that, while I use my creative ability to co-conspire and mirror back possibilities to clients, it’s been a long time since I’ve let myself wear my artist’s hat for me and my business. THIS is the hat of the me who majored in visual communications (graphic design), minored in art (& business), who used to love to draw and paint and couldn’t decide if she wanted to be a graphic designer, fashion designer/illustrator, interior designer, metal sculptor/jewelry maker or a photojournalist when she grew up!

Yesterday, I let myself wear THAT hat … ALL DAY … and here (see pic) is the result. It shows how the map of my work (The Point of You) relates to the energies of the seasons and to the cycles of the moon. I can’t wait to start working on a season by season calendar that helps me/us work even more intentionally with the rhythms and energies of nature on this year's journey of transformation, emergence, expansion and realization!

Next Sat (Sep 22) is the Fall Equinox. For me, this is the time of year when we experience paradigm shifting realizations that guide our next level of transformation and growth.
