Kyleen Stock: Have My/Your Back
MY HISTORY — ORIGINALLY POSTED NOVEMBER 10, 2024 ON INSTAGRAM@THEPOINTOFYOU
“This woman, Kimberly Dawson @thepointofyou helped me find MY “sparkle." I am who I am today because of her guidance, WISDOM, and unconditional love. She helped me to create my dream [for my wedding] - a dress that SPARKLED, like me! She meticulously adorned my dress with Swarovski Crystals. It was and is (still hanging in my house) perfection. She got her hands dirty with me, creating succulent guest gifts. She steamed (for hours!). She managed our music. She kept me centered. If you don't have one yet, find a friend like Kimberly. If you need to find your own "sparkle" in life, reach out to her. XO” ~ Kyleen Stock, Co-Conspirator since 2020

Kyleen and I started working together via Zoom at the end of 2020. She had just spent a year recovering from back surgery, so it was a little mind-blowing (and also not surprising at all) that her Point of YOU phrase turned out to be “Have My/Your Back.” She had been living her life having everyone else’s back … but never her own. It was time for that to change.
Originally, it was Kyleen’s husband who wanted a full wedding with family and friends, while her diminished state of being was in full-on resist-stance mode at the thought of being the center of attention. When we explored it in session, all of her childhood trauma fears about shining too brightly were stirred up. In one session, she shifted out of her Self-denial and owned that she deserved (and secretly wanted) a beautiful wedding … and then proceeded to buy a dress on sale online. When it arrived, it was clear that she was trying to like it but was settling. “Why don’t you deserve a dress that you LOVE?” I asked. “Is it money?” No, it wasn’t money. It was not wanting to shine too much, again. The next day, Kyleen walked into the main bridal shop in town and walked straight to “the one.” And she didn’t stop there. By adding hundreds of Swarovski crystals, she really let her Self sparkle — both inside and out! In this way, she had her own back.
Post wedding, Kyleen started consistently volunteering at a couple of shelters for homeless youth. Now, she’s also doing triple duty as a volunteer CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) — a specially trained volunteer that the local court appoints, to advocate for the best interests of children who have been traumatized by abuse or neglect, to make sure these children are safe and thrive. She’s showing up to bring her caring and wisdom and lovely sparkle to life, by advocating for children — “seeing” them and having their backs when they are too young to have their own backs. beYOUtiful!
